Katherine Mann founded College Here I Come out of a simple but powerful belief: every student deserves a counselor who sees them as a whole person — not just a GPA and a list of activities. At the heart of Katherine's approach is a genuine love for watching students explore their interests, their strengths, and their place in the world. That process of exploration is where the real growth happens. Students become more self-aware, more mature, and more confident in who they are. Katherine sees college not as a destination, but as the next chapter in that journey, a place to continue growing, developing, and becoming. Finding the right school and program for each student takes time, deep listening, and a nurturing approach.

With a background spanning both business and the arts, Katherine brings a blend of creativity and practicality to every student's journey and is known for thinking outside the box and finding creative solutions that a more conventional process might miss, whether that's uncovering the right college fit, identifying a unique application angle, or helping a student see their own story in a new light. A graduate of Oberlin College (B.A. in Economics and Art History) and Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management (MBA in Marketing and Finance), she earned her Certificate of College Counseling from UCLA and has spent over seven years guiding Chicago-area students toward colleges that genuinely fit.

When she's not counseling students, you'll find Katherine at the beach with her golden retriever, biking along the lakefront, cooking, skiing, reading, or chasing her next adventure.
